LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS O'PRY IN CHURCH POINT Opelousas, Sept. 22 - Funeral services were held in Church Point for Mrs. A.J. O'Pry, 88 years, nee Marie Josilie Latiolais, member of one of the pioneer families of St. Landry parish, who died at her home following a long illness. Services were held at the Church Point Catholic church, with Rev. Clay Bienvenu officiating at a Requiem Mass, assisted by Rev. Desire Sennevide, Lawtell; Very Rev. George Mollo, Crowley; and Rev. Olan A. Broussard, Iota. Surviving Mrs. O'Pry are the following sons and daughters: Ned O'Pry of Opelousas; Wesley O'Pry of Lake Charles and Thomas O'Pry of Church Point; Mrs. Etienne Daigle of Opelousas; Mrs. W. G. Cavell, Shreveport; Mrs. W.J. Knight, Iota and Mrs. Beulah SIguir of Crowley and 147 grandchildren and great-children (sic). The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, Louisiana) 22 Sep 1938, Thu, Page 4.
