Hattie H. Reed, 81, of 1604 Birren St. died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born Nov. 3, 1922, in Ennis, Texas, to Joe and Lucy Zobojnik Toupal, she married John E. Reed on Aug. 1, 1946, in Dallas. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Edie (and Bill) Warner of Phoenix; one brother, Emil Toupal of Ennis; one sister, Lucille Pickle of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers. She was an associate member of the Caterpillar Retirees and United Auto Workers Caterpillar Retirees. Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star - Thursday, October 14, 2004.
