Mary McKenzie rite Tuesday in Schuyler SCHUYLER- Mary M. McKenzie, 76, died Saturday morning in Schuyler Memorial Hospital after long illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Presbyterian Church, Rev. Richard Hovis Officiating. The body will lie in state in Svoboda Funeral Home from noon Monday until the funeral. Burial will be in the Schuyler Cemetery. Mrs. McKenzie, the former Mary Shazlik, was born May 10, 1893 in Linwood. She attended school there and came to Schuyler in 1909. She was married to George McKenzie Feb. 10, 1919, in Omaha, They operated a news stand in Schuyler many years, then she was grocery clerk. She was a meme ob the Eastern Star, Legion Auxiliary and Presbyterian Church. Survivors are her husband: brothers, Frank of Linwood and Anton of Ewing: nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death b y her parents, two brothers and a sister. From the paper dates 1/26/1970
