Final rites held for Mrs. Nora Amison Mrs. Nora Mable Amison, 68, of Foley, died at South Baldwin Hospital on June 16. She had been a lifelong resident of Foley. Funeral services were held on June 18 from the Chapel of Higgins Mortuary at 2 p.m. Reverend Bryant Scott and Rev. Griffin officiated. Burial was in Pine Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Reed, Joe Silva, Ray Springsteen, Cole Brown, Jr., Woodrow Walker, Ralph Brown, J.H. Springsteen and Robert Lunsford were honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Amison is survived by her husband, Robert Amison; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Silva, and Mrs. Ruth Springsteen of Foley and Mrs. Mazie Stone of Sanford, Fla.; five sons, Roy Amison, Mobile; Elmer, Sibley, George and Thomas of Foley; five sisters, Mrs. Dora Allen, Bon Secour, Mrs. Nonie Frost and Mrs. Hattie Carter, Foley; Mrs. Winifred Campbell, New Orleans and Mrs. Maude Rogers, Pensacola; and one brother, John Campbell; 28 grandchildren.
