Born the daughter of James Monroe Sanders (1867 – 1930) and Mary Elizabeth Tucker (1860 – 1942), she married on 29 Jan 1923 to Virgil Clemmons Satterwhite (1898 – 1975). Their children included Rachael Satterwhite born about 1924, V. C. Satterwhite born about 1925, Leonard Satterwhite born about 1927, and Leron Satterwhite born about 1928.
