Stepmother : Anna Vopalecky Kostelecky (1864-1952) ∼ August Kostelesky, 69, long time resident of Sargent, passed away at the Sargent community hospital, Jan. 10, 1959 of a heart attack. He was born Dec. [22], 1889 in Bohemia. He came to the United States with his parents, August and Julia Kostelesky in 1900, and to Nebraska in 1904. He moved to Sargent in 1915. On Feb. 11, 1926 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Peters in Broken Bow. To this union, 3 children were born: August Fredrick, and Janet. August Fredrick passed: away in infancy in 1930. Mr. Kostelesky was a member of the ZCBJ lodge. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon Jan. 13 at 2 in the Methodist church with Rev. Dean Donner of Burwell officiating. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; son, Ray of Omaha. daughter, Janet, at home; a daughter-in-law and two grandsons. Burial was at Mount Hope cemetery at Sargent. The singer was Mrs. Dean Donner of Burwell and the organist, Mrs. Harold Pointer. Pallbearers were members of the ZCBJ lodge.
