68 years, 8 days TAKEN FROM THE PUTNAM RECORD, HENNEPIN, IL September 18, 1874 Jas. B. McCord died in Granville on August 23 at the age of 68 years and 8 days. Until 2 years ago, when he had had a severe attack of billious fever, he scarcely knew what sickness was. Last September he was taken down with typhoid fever and never fully recovered from its affects. His suffering for the last six months were very great and until the last days of his life when he seemed comparatively free from intense pain and at last fell asleep.
