Kodad-A lifetime Colfax County resident, Mrs. Emily Kodad, 78 died Monday in Clarkson Hospital, Omaha. She had lived in Schuyler the last 15 years. Funeral rites will be conducted by Rev. Phillip Bede, 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Presbyterian Church, Schuyler. The body lies in state at Svoboda Funeral Home and Burial will be in Schuyler Cemetery. Daughter of John and Mary (Divis) Maca, She was born Dec. 1, 1896 in Colfax County and married Joseph Kodad on Feb 20, 1917 at Schuyler. He preceded her in death, as did a daughter, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors in clude three sons, Hoe of Hooper, Edwin of Columbus, Melvin of Richland; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Peca of Schuyler; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
