Bio

"Sidney McCutcheon, a young man of the Talpa section, who lives two miles northwest of Talpa died in a tragic way. He went to rope a steer, and in doing so he became entangled in the rope. The horse he was riding became entangled and fell with Sidney McCutcheon underneath him. The funeral was held at Talpa Cemetery. Mr. McCutcheon was a worthy young farmer and had many friends." (Coleman Chronicle, October 29, 1909.) Note from Ralph Terry: Sidney's tombstone gives a death year of 1901, but his obituary was from a 1909 newspaper.)
