Margaret Rose McCullough, who was raised on a ranch north of Lusk on Lance Creek, died in a Rapid City hospital Monday. Mrs. McCullough. 61, was the daughter of the late Ray and Linnie DeGering. Born in Edgemont on March 13, 1918, Mrs. McCullough attended local schools and was graduated from Lusk High School. On July 26, 1935, she married Leonard McCullough in Hot Springs, S.D. They moved to Moorcroft in 1945, buying the Empire Ranch where they raised cattle. Mrs. McCullough was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft, Federated Womens Club of Moorcroft, Civic and Culture Club, Farm Bureau and the Crook County Fair Board. She is survived by her husband, Leonard; a son, Curtis of Moorcroft; two daughters, Sandra K. Powers of East Helena and Roxanne Peters of Sundance; a brother, Donald R. (Bud) DeGering of Billings; a sister, Doris Thoelcke of Kennewick, Wash., and six grandchildren. A service will be held Friday, June 29, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft, with the Rev. Rob Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
