Thomas Wesley Cryer, 72, of Ballinger died Monday. Survivors include his wife, Alma, of Ballinger, one daughter, Janet Anderson of Ballinger, four sisters, two brothers, two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Thomas Cryer will be 10:30 am Friday at Grape Creek Cemetery under direction of Lange Funeral Home of Ballinger. BALLINGER Thomas Wesley Cryer, age 72, passed into his heavenly reward Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at his home surrounded by family. Thomas was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Buckholtz, Texas, to Bradford Allen Cryer and Ruth Lyles Cryer. He served in the U.S. Army and worked most of his life in the paint and body, construction and trucking industries. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gary Allen Cryer. Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Alma Teague Cryer; daughter Janet Anderson and her husband, Neal, all of Ballinger; sisters and brothers, Evelyn Bales, Barbara Gilbert, Virginia Keele (Glen), Dennis Cryer (Connie), Steven Cryer, and little sister Mary Jane Bonin; sisters-in-law Sally Teague and Dawn White; a very dear friend, Susie Leady; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, in Grape Creek Cemetery with Deacon David Workman officiating. Pallbearers will be Buddy Teague, Bobby Teague, Dilmus Teague, Stinky White, Brian Cryer and Dave Hedrick. The family extends a special thank you to Jeanie at VistaCare Hospice.
