Obituary: September 1, 2010 Chattanooga Times Free Press DAYTON, TN - Reba Day Wells went home to see her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 30, 2010. She was 88 years old. She was surrounded by her family as she comfortably went home at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Dayton and had been retired from Robinson Manufacturing Co. since 1987. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and was a member and Sunday school teacher at New Union Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Tom and Minnie McClure Day; brother, Crawford Day; sister, Wilma Day Arnold. Survivors include son, Jackson (Brenda) Abel, Dayton; two grandchildren, Jacinda (Scott) Trent, Rogersville, TN; grandson Jackson "Jay" Abel Jr., Dayton, TN; four great-grandchildren, Kimsey, Morgan, Collin, and Kinley Trent, all of Rogersville, TN; niece, Tommie Lou (Charles Henry) Whittemore; nephew, Bob (Janet) Arnold, all of Dayton, TN; great-nephew, Chuck Whittemore, Cleveland, TN; three great-nieces, Dayna (Chris) Smith, Chickamauga, GA, Tiffany (Mark) Ashley, Brittany Arnold, great-great-niece, Carleigh Ashley, all of Dayton, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Union Baptist Church. Services will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday with Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. Interment in Rhea Memory Gardens. Visitation 10 a.m. to 2 p.m Wednesday at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Dayton, TN.
