Mrs. Art Burkhardt Dies Suddenly Mon. - Funeral services for Mrs. Art Burkhardt, who passed away Monday forenoon in the St. Paul hospital, are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran church in Palmer.... Mrs. Burkhardt was born March 16, 1918 in Wheeler County to Amel and Elisa Zlomke. The family moved to Palmer where she became a member of St. John's Lutheran church. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Burkhardt were married October 1, 1934 and lived in the Palmer area the rest of her life. Survivors include her parents, her husband; 5 sons, Eugene of Central City, Robert of Milwaukie, Oregon, Dale, Gary and Ricky of Palmer; 4 daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Peetz of Palmer, Mrs. Donna Berst of St. Paul, Mrs. Darlene Miller of Clarks and Mrs. Carolyn Christensen of St. Paul; a sister, Mrs. Herman Burkhardt of Central City and a brother, LaVern Zlomke of Frannie, Wyo., and 11 grandchildren.
