James P. Edmiston of Baxter Springs, Kansas passed away Friday August 13, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. He was 83. Mr. Edmiston was born January 31, 1927 in Waxahachie, Texas to Johnny and Vernon Lee (Rocky) Edmiston Mr. Edmiston Served in the Marines during WWII. He had lived in Baxter Springs, Kansas since January 2008 moving from Houston, Texas. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Maintenance man for a Greenhouse. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister. Survivors include: Wife Susan (Wallace) Edmiston of the home, Son James R.Edmiston of Houston, TX, Daughter Laura Dearing of Euless, TX, 5 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren A Memorial Graveside services will be Saturday August 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pence Cemetery in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
