Bio
Born to Elmer Ellsworth and Clarainda (Gibbens) Heckathorn. Sister to Lloyd Wendel (1901-1982), William Winfield (1903-1960), Earl Elmer (1904-1923), Edna Ellen (1908-1908), Gretchen Fawn "Dutch" (1909-1997), Goldie Gladys (1912-1980), James Cyrus (1914-2014), Erven Elroy (1921-2008), Robert Edward (1923-2006), and Edwin Sherman Heckathorn (1929-1998). Mable married Kenneth Walker as a teen and had Elton (1936-2019), Dorothy Jean (1938-2005) and James Harley Walker (b 1947). She divorced Kenneth in 1951. On March 30, 1951 she married Joseph Glenn Chapman (1912-1994)in Donnelly, Idaho and bore Daniel Ray Chapman (1952-1963). Note the headstone erroneously indicates April 1951, but Valley County, Idaho, records indicate they were married in March. She worked as a telephone operator, retiring in the late 1980s. Mable was predeceased by her granddaughter Elicia Ann Walker (1977-1977), but is survived by many other grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mable enjoyed sewing, crafts, fishing, painting and gardening.
