Bio

Fannie Riggins, wife of Charles Riggins and sister of former county Treasurer, H.W. Blizzard, died at her home in Sorento, April 5, 1904. She was the daughter of Jackson Blizzard and was born in Mills township, west of Dudleyville September 1869. She was married about twelve years ago to Charles Riggins and he with one son and four daughters survive. She is also survived by brothers, H.W. Blizzard of Greenville, John J. Blizzard of Dudleyville, Rev. Calvin Blizzard of Centerville, and Solon of Marshall. Sisters, Miss Lucy Blizzard of Huntington, Virginia and Miss Stella Blizzard of St. Louis. Burial in Camp Ground cemetery. Fannie Adora Blizzard married Charles E Riggin(s) 13 Apr 1893 in Pocahontas, Bond Co., Illinois. To this union 5 children were born: Curtis Melvin Riggin (1894-1970), Sarah Catherine "Katy" Riggin Hockett(1896-1969), Bernice Luerene Riggin (1898-1905), Lucy Muryl Riggin Robert(1899-1935), Lucinda (Fannie Louise) Riggin Smith Owens (1902-1995).
