Eliska Pokorny daughter of Jan and Antonia Fojtik.Eliska Fojtik married Bohumil Pokorny in 1909. ------------ Final Rites for Mrs. E. Pokorny Held Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Eliska Pokorny, 78, were held Saturday afternoon at Hubbard Funeral Home, with interment in the Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Charles Young, pastor of First Baptist Church officiated. Mrs. Pokorny had been ill the past 7 years. She died at about 4:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. Oscar Addicks, in the Osage section. Born near here Dec. 4, 1882, she was the daughter of John and Antonia Fojtik. She was married in 1909 to Bohuslav[sic] Pokorny, who preceded her in death 27 years ago. She lived in Jourdanton for about 17 years after his death, and for the past few years has made her home alternately with her son and daughter. Surviving are one son, Frank Pokorny, and the daughter, Mrs. Addicks, of this area; one grandchild; and four sisters, Mrs. Frances Mikula of San Antonio, Mrs. Charles Nemec of Midfield, Mr. Justin Walchar of El Campo, and Mrs. Margaret Chamrad of Weimar. Pallbearers for her funeral were Walter Williams, Fred Froehlich, W. O. Hoegemeyer, Lyle Searcey, Lawrence Addicks and Robt. Moore.
