Mayhar is pronounced May-har. Obituary Michael A Mahar passed away very suddenly shortly after noon Tuesday. He had been in usual health and soon after dinner he went out to drive some cattle and fell dead on his farm on Irish St. Mr. and Mrs. Mahar, who had been residents of Vermontville for many years , but had been living at Hastings for some time had moved part of the grounds back to the farm. Jake (?) was working the place but was to leave next week and Mr. Mahar was expecting to work his own farm next year. The body was removed to the house of his son Mikie in Hastings. The funeral will be held at nine o'clock Friday morning.
