Eleanor Linder Wright, of Walterboro, entered into her state of eternal rest on the morning of August 14, 2010. She was the wife of fifty-one years to the late Alvin Floyd Wright who died in 1992. Born December 22, 1922, in Savannah, GA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dora Beach Linder. Mrs. Wright was a retired inspector from J. P. Stevens in Walterboro and also worked for a short period of time as an aide at the Colleton Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Walterboro Chapter No. 147 where she served four terms as Worthy Matron along with various other offices within the Chapter. Eleanor will be fondly remembered for her love of gospel music and birds, the elegance she always possessed, and her dedication to her family and others. Surviving are: two sons, Raymond Lee Wright and wife Wanda of Mashawville and Jack Wayne Wright, Sr. and wife Ollie of Walterboro; four grandchildren, Raymond Thomas "Tommy" Wright of Aiken, Pamela C. Wright of Mashawville, Jack Wayne Wright, Jr. and wife Leah of Walterboro, and Kim Wright Hiott and husband William of Walterboro; as well as four great-grandchildren.
