VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II ~ OBITUARY OF NEAL L. THOMPSON Neal L. THOMPSON, 77, Farnsworth, died December 23, 1995. Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 28, at 1:00 p.m. in First Christian Church with Rev. Roy King and Rev. Bob Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers. He was born December 31, 1918 in Hardesty, Oklahoma, and had lived in Ochiltree County since 1946. He married Margaret BATMAN on September 13, 1941 in Macksville, Kansas. She died in 1985. He was the owner and operator of Batman Grain Company in Farnsworth since 1983, and prior to that he managed the elevator for Ray Batman from 1946-83. He attended Panhandle State College and Southwestern State College. He was also a United State Marine during World War II. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Byrl and Ray. He is survived by one son, Joe Edward THOMPSON of Farnsworth; one daughter Cass Dian THOMPSON of Houston; one brother, Paul THOMPSON of Rock Spring, Wyoming; and two grandchildren.
