Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Holcombe, age 99, of Fayette, were held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Camp Comfort Community Cemetery with Bro. Scott Davis and Bro. Blake Thompson officiating. Mrs. Holcombe was born March 7, 1911. She died Sept., 27, 2010 at her daughter's rsidence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Holcombe; her parents, George Maury Hubbert and Cammie Jane Housh Hubbert; brothers, Dalton Hubbert and Solon Hubbert; sister, Willie Mae Hubbert; and great-granddaughter, Callie Mae Taylor. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Holcombe (Raymond) Settle of Fayette; three grandchildren, DeAnn L. (Jeff) Taylor, Preston Settle and Cammie Jane Settle; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Taylor and Ashton Taylor.
