Argyle-Jake Reginald Selby 83, of Argyle died Thursday, October 16, 1997, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He was born January 4, 1914, in Little Elm to Henry M. and Mamie Gammon Selby. He served in the U. S. Army cavalry during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Selby was a farmer. Services will be at 2 pm Sunday, October 19, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home. Tip Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Little Elm Cemetery. Survivors inclued three sisters, Margaret Snider of Argyle, Merle Riney of Denton, Martha J. Benson of Cooper and Judy Crider of Liberty; and two brothers, Charles Selby of Denton and Henry Selby of Midland.
