He married first Dollie Violet Jobe, daughter of Samuel David Jobe and Dora Irene Robbins, about 1914. Dollie must have died as a result of childbirth because she died just 16 days after delivering her son, William Albert Cooke, Jr. William Albert married second, Mary E. ( ) between 1915 and 1917 in Texas. ********************************* William A. Cooke William Albert Cooke, 77, of Lampasas died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday in the Roland (Rollins) Brooks Hospital in Lampasas following an illness of two months. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Lampasas with burial in the Lampasas Cemetery under the direction of Adkins funeral directors. Born Aug.1, 1895, in Coleman County, he married the former Mary Smith of Abilene in 1917. She died in 1957. In 1960 he married the former Johnnye Miles. He had worked for Humble Oil and Refining Co. from 1928 until his retirement in 1960. Survivors include his wife; two sons; six daughter; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Barnett of Monahans and Robert of Sugarland; and one sister, Mrs. Cora Lewis of Abilene.
