Bio

Mrs. Effie Ethel Franclow died at 1:15 PM Friday, Mary 10, 1974 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Opal Laskoskie in Anahuac. A native and lifelong resident of Liberty County, she was the daughter of Levi Alexander and Amanda Pounds-Alexander. Her maternal grandfather, W. D. Pounds moved to Texas from Rome, Georgia in 1865, settling on land two miles south of the city of Daisetta. Mrs. Francklow was married in 1911 to R. W. Francklow. She lived all her life and raised three children in the immediate area where she was born. For the past year and a half, she had made her home in Anahuac with Mrs. Laskoskie. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Francklow is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Opan Laskoskie of Anahuac and Mrs. Ruby Seals of Cypress; one son, R. W. Francklow, Jr. of Hull; one stepdaughter, Erma Shelton of Madisonville; one stepson, Kelley Francklow of Bryan; two grandsons, James Laskoskie of Houston and Richie Seals of Cypress; one granddaughter, Donna Jean McCoy of Cypress; a great-grandson, Robbie Rogers of Cypress; one brother, Lee Alexander of Baytown; and one sister, Flava Urban of Cuero.
