Services for Mrs. Edna Gallemore Alley will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, Alexandria with Dr. B. David Brooks officiating.Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Pallbearers will be Stephen Wheelis, Christopher Wheelis, Todd Smith and Mason Smith, Don Mabry and Ben Gray. Mrs. Alley, 92, of Alexandria, formerly of Springhill, Louisiana for 55 years, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Regency House. Mrs. Alley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a retired Ladies Apparel Store Owner. She was preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Arthur R. Alley; parents, Henry and Mary Pilgreen Gallemore; her sisters, Hope and twin sister, Edith. She is survived by her son, Reverend John G. Alley and wife, Carolyn of Alexandria; grandchildren, Carol Lynn Alley Wheelis and husband, Stephen of Pineville, Alicia Alley Smith and husband, Todd of The Woodlands, Texas, great grandchildren, Christopher Wheelis, Katie Smith, Alley Claire Wheelis, Mason Smith, Sarah Beth Wheelis; sister, Ruth of Cleveland, Texas Friends may call Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Alexandria from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
