Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester T. Baker, 6008 N. Street, was killed in action with the infantry September 18, in France according to the War Department telegram received by his parents. Technician Baker had been overseas since August 1944. He attended South High School and was working at the Masonic Temple at the time of his induction. Pvt. Baker was 25 years old. He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lester Baker; brother Staff Sargent Gerald, TCP Warren, sister, Mrs. Charles Rubec.
