The Colfax County Press (Clarkson, Nebraska) 13 Jul 1955, Wed Page 2 Louis Sedlacek Of Schuyler Died July 1st Louis G. Sedlacek, 75, pioneer resident of Schuyler, died Friday, July 1st at the Schuyler hospital following a short illness. He was a carpenter and former farmer in the vicinity of Schuyler. Mr. Sedlacek was born in Wahoo, June 8, 1880. In infancy he moved with his parents to a farm northeast of Schuyler. He spent all his life in and around Schuyler. April 20, 1909 he was united in marriage to Mary Dowd at the Dublin church, north of Rogers. They farmed until 1933, when they moved to Schuyler, where they have lived since. Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Kelly and Mrs. Fred Fletcher, both of Norfolk; three brothers, Joe of Aurora, John of Schuyler, and Ludwig of Winner, S.D.; one sister, Mrs. R.B. Basta of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The deceased was also a brother to the Mrs. V.J. Chleboun of this city. Funeral rites were held at Schuyler, on the morning of July 4th with services at the St. Augustine church. Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery north of Schuyler.
