Army Service No. (ASN): 38115307 The B17, 379BG/524BS, WA-., 42-29746 left Kimbolton airfield on a mission to the aircraft factories in KASSEL. The aircraft was shot down by a fighter and crashed at ANGEREN, 12Km SSW of ARNHEM at 09:20 hrs. Six men were KIA and they are buried at Belgium and in the USA. Four of the crew, became POW.
