Daughter of George and Frieda (Sporleder) Malzahn. She attended schools in Pierce and Norfolk and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1933. Bernice married Joseph L. Misek May 23, 1935 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Schuyler. She loved to GO - shopping, ballgames, out to eat, anywherere she could. She enjoyed her plants and flowers and had a green thumb. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid. Bernice died August 4, 2010 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha at the age of 97. Bernice is survived by four children, Georgia Kozisek of Omaha, Joseph A. "Sonny" (Bette) Misek of Columbus, Mary Ann (Howard) Hamata of Schuyler and Robert (Ellen) Misek of Marquette, NE; 12 grandchildren, Debbie Moore, Dorie Bowen, Terry and Tim Kozisek, Benjamin and Rebecca Hamata, Pat, Jory, Marty, Kelly, Pam and Ron Misek; 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Troy Malzahn of Pocatello, ID and Lee (Clara) Malzahn of Omaha; 2 sisters, Elva Peterson of Schuyler and Darlene Workman of Winston-Salem, NC; Brother-in-law, Ladi Misek of Clinton, TN; ; many beloved nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe (May 2, 1985); 2 sisters, Gladys White and Helen Lammers; infant brother, Georgie; son-in-law, Vincent Kozisek; brothers-in-law, Ray Peterson, Chuck Workman, Lawrence Lammers, Fred White, Sr, Lambert Misek and Leonard Misek; sisters-in-law, Billie Malzahn, Ada Misek and Rose Misek; nephews, Fred White, Jr., Doug Muehlich and Joseph Hajek; niece, Kathy Rigby
