Bio
James Monroe Stallings, 77, of York, died suddenly Friday, at his home. He is survived by his wife: four sons, Florence, Jamison, Fla., Lloyd, Arthur Lee and H. L. of York: one daughter, Mrs. Guy Free, York; four brothers, Sol, Joseph Serifus "Joe" Stallings , Christopher Columbus "Lum" Stallings , and Ramond Stallings of Ward; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Stallings Ezell , Ward, Lula Stallings Smith , Meridian, and Mary Elizabeth Stallings Wideman . Funeral Services were held Saturday at the Siloam Church with the Rev William Leslie Ezell officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery, with Koster in charge.
