Pauline Gentry, 88, Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Country Care Nursing Home in Easton, Kansas. Pauline was born July 17, 1922 in Gamaliel, Kentucky, the daughter of Arthur and Effie (Thomas) Turner. In 1942 she married Harlow Gentry. He preceded in death in September 1989. She was also preceded in death by her son, James C. Gentry, six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Jerry D. Gentry, Leavenworth, Kansas, Danny A. Gentry, Wichita, Kansas, and Susan L. Tryon, Leavenworth, Kansas, one brother, Leon Turner, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pauline was a Homemaker. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Lynn Dickson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
