Mr. Arleigh Rogers, age 89, of Allen, Texas passed away on February 10, 2004 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on March 26, 1914 to John Edgar (J.E.) and Anna Mae (Jones) Rogers in Parker, Texas. On July 21, 1934, he married Mary Helen Chandler in McKinney, Texas. He worked for 35 years at S & R Services and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chambersville, Texas. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World in McKinney. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary; daughters, Margaret Franklin of Ft. Worth, Texas, Suzie Littrell and husband, Royce of Cache, Oklahoma, Janice Adcock and husband, Gene of Springfield, Missouri and Arlene Powell and husband, Doug of Highland Village, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sisters, Billie Stone of Greenville, Texas and Amelia Tuton of Lakewood, California. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas with Rev. Royce Littrell, Rev Matt Gaston and Rev. Michael Varrassi officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 PM, Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choosing.
