Bio

James enlisted in the Confederate States Army on 15 May 1862 at Lafayette, Georgia. He was mustered as a Private in Company E, 39th Georgia Infantry. He was captured on 16 May 1863 at Champion Hill and paroled 3 July 1863 at Fort Delaware and exchanged 4 July 1863. No further records found. (link to parents by Kay )
