Omaha Daily Bee (Omaha, Nebraska) 14 Apr 1908, Tue, Page 3 Minnie Chmelka has secured a divorce from Amiel Chmelka, a prominent farmer living near Fremont. Judge Redick granted her $3000.00 alimony, but owing to the fact the children have been taken from the state by the father no disposition was made of them. Fremont Daily Tribune (Fremont, Nebraska) 18 Apr 1908, Sat, Page 3 In the district court at Omaha Minnie Chmelka has been given a divorce from Amiel Chmelka. The plaintiff has been allowed alimony of $3000.00. Until recently the family lived on a farm north of North Bend but a few weeks ago Amiel accompanied his parents to Holly, Colorado. His wife has been living in Omaha.
