Bio
Glen Hoegemeyer son of Fred and Nellie Hoegemeyer.Glen Hoegemeyer married Geraldine Brune on May 10,1959 at St.Michaels Church in Weimar.They made their home in Weimar for the next 50 years. daughter Glenda Hoegemeyer Bartek grandson Justin Bartek Glen attended Weimar High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.He owned and operated a heavy equipment construction company,working all over the state,although his business was based in Weimar.In later years,he also worked in Colorado at the Denver Airport and on other projects. He was very generous with his business,donating both work and materials to several community projects.He donated work and materials for the first helio pad at the old Youens hospital,all the materials for the St.Michaels School athletic field and work and materials for the Weimar High School athletic field. Glen was a past member of the Weimar Lions Club and the Weimar volunteer Fire Department,as well as a current member of the Weimar Knights of Columbus.He was an outdoors person and enjoyed hunting,both locally and in Colorado,boating and water sailing at his family's house on Lake Travis.He was a family-oriented person and was never happier than when he was with his family and entertaining friends.He also enjoyed quiet time at home with his beloved cats. Mr.Hoegemeyer passed away at 10:28 a.m. in Columbus Fayette Medical Center. Funeral services were held for Glen Hoegemeyer,70,October 2,2009 at St.Michaels Church in Weimar with Father John C. Bily officiating. Pallbearers were Ewald Friedrich,Ken Kram,Howard Hoegemeyer,William Hoegemeyer,David Raabe,Howard Raabe,Barney Kasper,Maurice Kasper,Justin Bartek and Brian Bartek. Honorary Pallbearers were Ricky Martinez,Johnnie Kasper,Rudy Meyer,Melvin Otto and Cliff Keiner.
