~~~~~ Katerina was born in Telci, Moravia, Czechoslovakia. Katerina and Joseph were married February 22, 1880 in Eden, Iowa County, Wisconsin. To this union, the children: Baby Boy Beranek: 1881 – 1881 Anna Beranek: 1882 – 1964 Mary Beranek: 1884 – 1958 Frank Joseph Beranek: 1888 – 1964 Emma Beranek: 1891 – 1919 Amiel Leonard Beranek: 1894 – 1970 James John Beranek: 1898 – 1979 Parents of Katerina: Jan Ruzicka: 1805 – 1870 Maria Coufal: 1809 – 1857 Siblings of Katerina: John Ruzicka: 1833 – 1903 Joseph Ruzicka: 1838 – ? Albert Ruzicka: 1840 – 1902 Anton Ruzicka: 1842 – 1907 Michael "Mike" Ruzicka: 1848 – 1936 Based upon information from Ken Chromy of Nebraska, a descendant of Katarina Ruzicka (Ruzickova). Katarina emigrated from her home in Moravia, Czech Republic in 1874 with her brother, Albert & his wife, Anna (Marie), Ruzicka and their son - Frank, to southwest Wisconsin, residing in Iowa County, Wisconsin in the area surrounding the town of Cobb where Czech immigrants had been settling. Katarina remained in the Cobb, Wisconsin area until 1880 and then moved to Nebraska. Source: Paul ~~~~~
