E.F. HOUSE SUCCUMBED TO INJURIES Received In A Fall From A Freight Car While At Work ~ (From Texarkana Gazette) E.F. House, 300 Hickory Street, Missouri Pacific watchman, died in a Texarkana hospital at 5 A.M., Sunday, March 27, from shock indured after his legs were fractured in a fall from a freight car while at work Saturday night. He is survived by his wife, Texarkana; his father, J.L. House, Glenwood, Ark.; five brothers and four sisters, all of Glenwood. The body will be forwarded Monday to Glenwood to the East Undertaking Company for funeral services and burial, accompanied by a committee from the Railway Mail Trainmen of which House was a member. House was injured shortly after 8 P.M. Saturday when he fell from a freight car, while switching in the yards. His legs were crushed by the car. He was taken to a hospital where attendants believed at first it might be necessary to amputate his legs, but set them for temporary relief. House had been employed by the Missouri Pacific about two and one half years. ~ Mr. House had lived in Broken Bow (Oklahoma) for a number of years, and was employed as steel gang foreman by the Choctaw Lumber company. His quiet unassuming disposition had won him many friends. His wife will be remembered as Mrs. T.H. Summerhill, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V.C. Cole.
