Bio

The Vidette Feb. 03, 1938 Daniel R. Tuberville died at his home Wednesday morning, Feb. 02, 1938, about 13 miles North of Iuka. He was buried Thursday afternoon, at Short Creek cemetery. Rev. S. A. Bonds conducted the service. Cutshall Funeral Home Of Iuka, was in Charge. No Marker found. Obit: courtsey of Mildred Aday, whom has passed on. She was a very dedicated person in the genealogy. Parents: Marion Rufus Tuberville born in 1859 in Ala., died Burnsville, Miss. Married Syrena Othea Osborne abt. 1879. She was the daughter of William Riley Osborne and Susan Magby Holcomb, She was born Mar. 08, 1856 and died in Burnsville, Miss. Nine children. Their children: 1. William Thomas Tuberville was b Sept. 7, 1880 in Burnsville and died Nov. 27, 1957. 2. Daniel Rufus born Feb. 21, 1881 and died Feb. 02, 1938 3. Ida B. was born Nov. 20, 1883 and died Nov. 15, 1894. 4. Susan Emmie was born April 1886. 5. Minnie was born April 20, 1888 and died Nov. 10, 1902. 6. Mattie O. born March 18,1890 and died April 13, 1891. 7. John Robert was born Mar. 14,1892 and died in May 1967 in Duck Hill, Montgomery, Co. MS. 8. Sam was born Mar. 06, 1894 and died Oct. 17, 1964. 9. Otha Othea was born Sept. 26, 1897 in Burnsville, Miss.,and died June 1980 in Burnsville, Miss. Dates on Sam's marker --06,1895. and W. T.'s Sept. 19, and Nov. 28 both are buried at Anitoch Cemetery, near Burnsville. There is a John buried there also but has different dates, (close). Ida, Minnie and Mattie are buried at New Salem Baptist church cemetery North of Iuka.
