Juanita Bristow Rowe, 81, of League City, passed away in Webster, with her children by her side, Sunday, June 26, 2011. She was born December 9, 1929 in Dallas, Texas and was a graduate of Texas City High School where she was a majorette in the Stingray Band. She married her high school sweet heart, the late Jack Rowe, with whom she helped establish the Jack Rowe Funeral Home in League City in 1953. Juanita was very active in the League City Lioness Club helping Jack with the Lions Club Village Fair for many years. She was an avid gardener, reader, loved Texas history and she always made the Christmas holidays special for everyone, with her beautiful homemade decorations. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Goodrich, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents; Bruce and Gladys Petrey Bristow, her brother; Carl Bristow, her husband; Jack Rowe, daughter-in-law; Cathy Cravey Rowe, sister-in-law, Patsy Rowe and special long time friend, Otis Switzer. She is survived by her children; Joanne and Jimmy Salvato of Dickinson, Jack Larry and Cindy Rowe of League City, grandchildren; Paula and Trey Schneider, Christian and Clay Riassetto, Devon Rowe all of League City, Jack Derek and Kristen Rowe of Friendswood, and their mother Cheryl Maultsby of Houston, Jonathan Rowe Salvato and his fianc? Sarah Chandler of Pearland. Great-grandchildren; Zachary and Emily Schneider, Jack Carter Rowe, Chloe and Cole Riassetto. Brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law: Sam Rowe of Alvin, Dr. Ralph and Marion Rowe of Abilene, Ken and Nita Rowe of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, also special life long friend Nita Switzer of Santa Fe. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at James Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main in League City. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Peeples Cemetery in Goodrich, Texas with Dr. Don Willis officiating.
