Jessie Jordan Heubach, 99, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Groves. Born on December 7, 1912, in Batson, to Mary Jane Teel and James Jackson Jordan, she had been a resident of the area for sixty-seven years. Jessie was a retired educator having taught school for forty-six years. At age 18 Jessie taught kindergarten through twelfth grade in a one room school in Batson. She then taught at Port Neches Elementary until Woodcrest was built; and was one of the first second grade teachers there until her retirement. Jessie is survived by her son, Carl Heubach and his wife, Jean of Nederland; grandchildren, Jessica Boullion and her husband, Chris of Nederland; Frederick Heubach of Port Arthur; and Benjamin Heubach of Groves; great- grandchildren, Brandon, Isabella, and Cameron Boullion, and Keegan Heubach; brother, Robert Lamar Jordan of Granbury; nephew, Bob Jordan of Austin; niece, Janice Fielder of Houston; several other nieces and nephews; and a host of additional relatives and friends, including Sherrie and Eva Heubach. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jane and James Jordan; husband of twenty-six years, Fred Heubach; step-mother, Vina Jordan; brothers, Lawrence, James Lee, Joe, Melbourne, and Gen Rufus Jordan; and sister, Hazel Fielder.
