MARRIAGE (article) Couple wed in Oregon Married in a garden wedding on Saturday, August 9, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brassler of Sutherlin, Ore., were Kathleen Jo Ann Polacek and James Douglas MacMillan, both of Roseburg, Ore. Light blue flowers entwined on a white trellis provided the background for the ceremony. Michael Polacek of Winston, Ore., brother of the bride, provided guitar music preceding and during the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Polacek of Hawthorne, Calif., are parents of the bride. Mr. Polacek is formerly of Bruno. Parents of groom are J. D. MacMillan of Tustin, Calif., and Mrs. Eleanor MacMillan of Santa Ana, Calif. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a mid-length wine colored chiffon dress accented with tiny light blue flowers and carried a bouquet of light blue carnations and tiny white bell flowers. Mrs. Paul Brassler of Sutherlin, Ore., sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Renee Evans of Portland was the bridesmaid. Ron MacMillan served his brother as best man. Joshua Brassler, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer. Both are of Sutherlin, Ore. A reception was held following the single ring ceremony. The bride is a 1976 graduate of Lawndale High School in Lawndale, Calif. The groom attended Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Calif. Both are employed at Brother's Welding Co. in Winston, Ore. Following a honeymoon to Coos Bay, Ore., the couple will reside in Roseburg, Ore. Out of town guests included the bride's family, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Polacek, Mark and Ron of Hawthorne, Calif., Michael Polacek of Winston, Ore., and Gary Polacek of Bruno, uncle of the bride; and the groom's mother, Mrs. Eleanor MacMillan of Santa Ana, Calif., his brother, John, sister, Carol, and nephew, Craig, all of California.
