Married Pearl Hatzenbuehler 06 October 1920. Obit from Mother's scrapbook reads: "RUNGE, Walter H. 79, 4318 No. 58th St. Lincoln, died Sunday. Born Cook County, near Bensenville, Ill. Retired farmer. Member St. Paul United Church of Christ. Survivors: wife, Pearl; daughters, Mildred Hall, Lincoln, Mrs. Donald (Nelda) Smetter, Gretna; sons, Leonard, Dale, Donald all of Lincoln; brothers Elmer, Alfred, both of Lincoln; Gustave, Omaha; Herbert, Grand Island; sisters, Miss Edna, Glenview, Ill; Mrs. Rose Horstman; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Services 2 p.m. Tuesday. St. Paul United Church of Christ. The Rev. John H. Reid, Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials to St. Paul United church of Christ. Roper & Sons Mortuary, 4300 O.
