Bio
Stanley E. Engleman, 75, of Kearney died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Ravenna Good Samaritan Center. Stanley was born Sept. 12, 1934, in Litchfield to Jesse Olon and Eva Blanche (Yarrington) Engleman. On June 30, 1961, he married Arleta Hodges. Survivors include his loving wife; son, Craig Engleman and his wife, Robyn, of Grand Island; daughters, Marcy Dobbe and her husband, Jim, of Norfolk and Marla Cure and her husband, Brian, of Riverdale; brother, Doug Engleman and his wife, Bev, of Arnold; grandchildren, Brandon and Jenny Engleman, Megan, Jessica and Mikala Dobbe, and Isac, Paige and Olivia Cure; great-grandson, Cove Engleman; and many other loving family and friends. He grew up in Arnold and graduated from Arnold High School with the class of 1952. Stanley served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was also a lifetime member of Arnold Lutheran Church. Stanley worked at Eaton Corp. in Kearney for 29 years. He enjoyed working for Enterprise Rental for several years after retirement. He was a family man who enjoyed working on his lawn and his pickup. Stanley also enjoyed classic Westerns and watching the Huskers. He enjoyed life and always looked forward to spending time with his family. Stanley was a great man who will be deeply missed by his family and those who had the pleasure to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Engleman; and sister, Marjorie Cook. Published in the Kearney Hub on 7/29/2010
