Funeral services were conducted Nov. 1 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Ron Gilbert officiated. Mrs. Smith was born June 16, 1910, in Cumberland County, the daughter of James Allen and Mary LeeAnn Vanwinkle Bryant. She was a beautician, and a member of Lantana Church of Christ. Survivors include her sons, Zollie Kidwell of Hixson, TN, Gene Kidwell of College Grove, TN, and Murray Kidwell of Crossville; daughters, Janice K. Smith and Joyce Walker, both of Huntsville, AL; stepson, Blair Smith of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Joseph Bryant, Casto Bryant and Roy Bryant; and one sister, Della Lewis. Pallbearers were Gene Hassler, Doyle Crosley, Wendell Hunt, Marvin Norris, David Dalton, Oliver Campbell, Jim Thomas and Denver Hogston. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
