Billy Williams, services today James Earcy "Billy" Williams, 75, of Waxahachie passed away June 8, 1997 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie. Billy was born at Oak Branch Community, March 26, 1922 to Thomas Calvin and Leona Bearden Williams. He received his education at Oak Branch schools. He was in CCC Camp and the U.S. Army in World War II from 1941 to 1943 and was married to Juanita Terry in 1942 and they were married 54 years. Billy was a 46 year member of Masonic Lodge #955 in Odessa. He was of the Methodist faith since childhood. Billy grew up in his fathers blacksmith shop and became a nationally known ferrier. He has shod many of the finest horses in the world. He shod for many years at the State Fair of Texas, Fort Worth Stock Show, San Antonio Stock Show, and Houston Stock Show. In his retirement years, he was a custom knife maker and created many beautiful hand crafted knives. He is survived by two sons; James E Williams, Jr. and wife Freddie; Clyde Thomas Williams and wife Kristina. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Sue Williams Lawler, and also by his mother and father, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. One sister survives, Lois Williams of Waxahachie, as well as four nephews and one niece. The funeral will be held in the Boze Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, June 10, 1997 at 2 p.m., with Owen Cosgrove officiating. Pallbearers are his nephews: O.H. Kirkland, Melvin Williams, Bill Terry, Steve Terry, Jimmy Duncan, and Mike Terry. Honorary pallbearers are: Ross Churman, Dr. Nelson Jones, Tony Sanchez, Sam Reid, Herman Giles, Jack Neal, and Jimmy Giese. From: Page 10, The Waxahachie Daily Light, Tuesday. June 10, 1997
