BOYD GOODNOW Full Military services for Boyd H. Goodnow, 94, of Hinton will be held at 2p.m. Sunday at the Hinton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diann Kovacs, pastor, officiating. The military rites will be conducted by the Gilbert-Fosset American Legion Post of Hinton. Goodnow was born July 4, 1895 in Mediapolis, Iowa and died today at th Maple Lawn Manor at Hydro. He was a member of the Hinton United Methodist Church, the Gilbert-Fosset American Legion Post No. 230, the Hinton Masonic Lodge and the AFL-CIO. Goodnow moved to Hinton in 1901 and then moved to Oklahoma City in 1917. He and the former Helen Santin were married Oct 4, 1923 in Stillwater. he served in World War II, worked for a railroad company for 29 years and farmed for 14 years. He was precede in death by his parents, Otis and Idolia Goodnow; four brothers, Robley, Henry, Gerald and Dwight Goodnow and one sister, Delpha Pepperly. He is survived by his wife, Helen of the home; a brother, Willard Goodnow of Hinton; seven nieces and three nephews. Burial will be in the Hinton cemtery under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. The Anadarko News 19 April 1990
