John was the son of James Madison Oakley and Martha Ann (Williams) Oakley of Fayette county, Georgia Grandson of John and Elizabeth Oakley of Fayette,Georgia. John D C's first wife - Matt Hobbs - (not sure where Matt is buried) children John James William Franklin Mary Dessie Adilene Odelia "Della" Joseph Andrew Ianthus (my grandfather) June Julia Susan Alma John D C's second wife - Katie Davenport Millican -Carter Cemetery children Leonard Clinton Luther Newton Larkin Lester step daughter - Zullah Mamie (Millican) Hobbs John D C 's third wife - Martha A Sumner 28581874 Carter Cemetery no children...step children Robert,Henry and Richard Williford John's full name from Georgia family bible - provided by David Oakley Thompson John farmed the Oakley land in Van Zandt county. When he died his grandson Loy of the marriage to Katie Davenport Millican Oakley farmed the land.
