June Rose Zaidle, 79, of Ennis, passed away on Thursday evening, July 23, 2010 at Legend Oaks Nursing Home in Ennis. She was born in Palmer, Texas to Robert L. Hawkins, Sr. and Robena (Davis) Hawkins on February 9, 1931. Her family moved to Ennis in 1944, where she attended Ennis Schools. She was married to Adolph Zaidle, Sr. on April 23, 1949 and they made their home in Ennis. June worked for Storey Manufacturing as a supervisor and worked with child day-care for over twenty-five years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ennis. She enjoyed fishing and reading. She is survived by two sons: Adolph Zaidle, Jr. and his wife, Rita and Michael Zaidle all of Ennis; four grandchildren: Mary Ann, Michael, John and Lauren; seven great-grandchildren: Bree, Austin, Ryan, Meredith, Daylyn, Reagan and Haley; one brother, Jerry M. Hawkins and his wife, Gena of Alma and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Zaidle, Sr. on August 8, 1990; one son, Randolph Zaidle; two brothers: Robert Lee Hawkins, Jr. and Charles Hawkins; two sisters: Ruth Harper and Juanita Skrivanek and granddaughter Deborah Kaye Zaidle. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 5 until 7 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary. Services will be on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Michael Howard officiating. Pallbearers will be Randall Zaidle, Danny Salik, George Skrivanek, Garry Skrivanek, Lance Hawkins and Bryan Carter. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
