Printed in the Times Post, Houston, Mississippi, dated February 14, 1957 Mrs. W T Johnson, 81, Buried at Wesley Chapel Services for Mrs. William Tucker Johnson, 81, who for many years was active in church, Eastern Star, and community activities, were conducted from the First Methodist Church here Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. L P Jumper, pastor of the Methodist Church and the Rev. W A Robinson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Kilgore-Norman in charge. Mrs. Johnson, who had been in failing health for some time, died at her home here Sunday night at 6:55 o'clock. Mrs. Johnson, a lifelong resident of Chickasaw County, was born Jan. 5, 1876, the daughter of the late Ivy Clay Hollingsworth and Martha Jane Lamar Hollingsworth. She was the former Miss Mary Hollingsworth. Charter Member of OES She was a member and a past worthy matron of the Houston Eastern Star chapter. She was a charter member of the Houlka Eastern Star, was a member of the Houston Methodist Church, the Maids and Matrons Sunday School Class, and a member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, William Tucker Johnson, of Houston; two sons, Leland Howard Johnson of Woodville, Tex., and William Thadeous Johnson of Opelousas, La., and a daughter, Mrs. Aaron Harrington of Houston. Six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers were: R L Crawford, Fred Dulaney, Charles Martin, Ben Woods, Lawrence Harrington, and Marvin Pearson. Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. R S Blue, J L Ricks, Lamar Turner, J E Hightower, C K Alexander, A B Crawford, R V Taylor, J H Tabb, Jim Alexander, B C Hill, J L Davis, Sid Atkinson, Dr. T M Gore and Dr. J D Dyer.
