Civil War Veteran FROM NORTHRIVER. Grim death claims another victim. Edgar Howerton was kicked by a horse sometime since, and lingered until Friday night. Remains buried Sunday in the Novelty cemetery. REX. Knox County Democrat Edina, Missouri August 4, 1898 ------------ HOWERTON—At his home near Brashear. July 29, W. E. Howerton. Burial took place at Novelty, his old home, July 31. The Masonic order and G.A.R. conducted the funeral service. Weekly Graphic Kirksville, Missouri August 12, 1898
